1. Will my purchased pictures have ©Equine Photographic on them?
No, all our lower resolution images on our main gallery are protected by the Copyright symbol to prevent people downloading them without payment or passing them off as their own work. If you order prints or a full resolution download from us it will be free of any copyright symbols or wording and at a much higher resolution than you see on the gallery. See our high resolution sample (which does have some wording) and "Do I own the copyright of anything I buy?" for more detail.
2. What is the resolution of the downloads?
We often slightly crop the original images we take to provide a better picture, therefore the actual image size you download is not always the same from picture to picture. We do not crop excessively however, so all of our pictures for sale are around the 2500 x 2000 pixel range.
3. How many pictures can I buy at once?
Given the large size of the images, we do not recommend buying a large amount of download pictures as a single order as the download size will be quite high and your connection may have problems downloading such a high amount of data. This is especially true if you only have a dial up connection to the internet. If you do want to download a large amount or have a slow internet connection, please contact us and we can discuss how best to get your files to you.
If you want to order prints however, you can order as many of these as you like and we will be happy to process these for you.
4. I don't have a Pay Pal account, how can I pay?
We can take payment by cheque though it takes longer to clear and process. At the checkout part of the process, select Pay by Cheque and fill out your details. We will then process the email and respond to you with details of how and where to send the cheque. Once the cheque has cleared we can then process your order.
5. How long will my prints take to arrive?
We will send your prints out within a maximum of 2 weeks of receipt of your order (excepting cheque payment, please see above)
6. Do I own the copyright of anything I buy?
The purchase of a print/JPG does not entitle the use of that print/JPG for anything other than personal use. Equine Photographic retain copyright unless the copyright is purchased from us. Written permission MUST be obtained from Equine Photographic if the print is to be used in any publication or website including, but not limited to, advertising or event publicity. If you wish to use any of our images for commercial or publicity use, please contact us to discuss terms and conditions.
Personal use includes the use of images in personal materials or to print out yourself as many times as you wish but not for publication such as Equestrian magazines or websites regardless of their nature.
7. What if the weather is bad when I have my portraits taken?
If the weather forecast for your location is poor for the day of the shoot, please contact us in plenty of time and we can postpone the shoot. Rain and high winds are as problematic for photography as they are for horses and we would rather come back at a later date and have the horses, riders and photographer at their best rather than risk an album of soggy and unhappy looking horses.
If you have organised to be photographed at a certain competition however, we will take the best pictures possible for those conditions.
If you are unsure, please contact us for any clarification.
