We cover events from the largest competitions to local shows and riding club clinics and events, from lead rein classes to cattle penning competitions and international eventing. We have a team of experienced equestrian photographers who are dedicated to capturing those perfect moments which show horses at their very best. We also like to think we provide something a little bit different by getting those candid shots between horse and rider.

We pride ourselves on taking great images and only display the very best of them on our site. Our images have regularly been published in national equestrian publications including Horse and Hound, Eventing Magazine and eventingworldwide.com.

Update: A blog entry on the process of Event Photography

SERC Championships 2010

Another great weekend at Perth-well done to everyone involved in promoting and running it, it was great to turn up on the Saturday and see how much the event had grown! It was lovely to meet and talk to some of you in person as well.

In order to get the photos uploaded as soon as possible I have just split them into Saturday, Sunday and Corral folders. I hope you enjoy looking through them and remember that I caught most of you at different points on the ride so make sure you see all the photos I have of you. I caught nearly all of you except for some of the Competitive 30kers on the Sunday-I apologise but I didn't realise you weren't doing the cross-country field loop but I did get some of you near CPA on the way back. If there are no photos of you by yourself, it probably means that either you were too close to someone or someone is too close to you. When using a zoom lens I need riders to have at least 2 horses' lengths between you. Nose to tail simply isn't enough as you invariably get one horses tail across the other's face or just a mass of legs which never looks good. I understand it isn't always possible and wherever I could, I have given a choice of group and single rider shots.

With regards to the Corral pictures-I didn't disturb any of the horses to get the shots, they were all opportune photos and if there isn't one of your horse, then it probably meant that he/she wasn't interested in looking up from their grass or dinner! I had planned to go back early Sunday morning but unfortunately the light was very poor. As you see, some are offered in black and white as well-for no additional charge I am happy to make any picture black and white-just leave a note on the order.

Don't forget our new products of keyrings and fridge magnets. The lead time on these will be 2-3 weeks. We will try to get prints out within 2 weeks but if they are especially urgent then please let us know. If you have any problems using the site please email us-we are very happy to take orders via email or phone. We also have gift vouchers available that can be used against the purchase of any print, jpg or portrait session and can be for any amount. We no longer offer high resolution jpgs via download as these were proving problematic for some. They are now available on personalised CDs with the event name and date printed on the front-we think they look pretty nice and are now just £10 per file.

Lastly, our new site www.equinesystems.co.uk has some new products including some great fly sprays and treatments. We are currently offering free samples of some of the products with every purchase over £20 plus we offer free delivery to certain areas in East Lothian and very fair P&P prices to those of you further afield. I can order most supplements in and if there is anything you'd like me to stock then please let me know.

Please click here to visit the site.

Please email us at info@equinephotographic.co.uk

We also publish a Blog which has a mild bias towards our own horses here.

Also, we're on Twitter in a purely informationary capacity as @equiphoto.
